Telemarketer Call Screening
Calls from telemarketers are typically delivered to your phone as
"unknown" or "out-of-area." This unique service
intercepts these calls, and announces that you do not accept calls from
telemarketers. The great thing is, your phone doesn't even ring. It also
instructs telemarketers to add your name to their "DO NOT
CALL" list. Other callers are advised to dial 1 or stay on the line
to be connected. What more could you ask for? It's peace of mind
every time your phone rings.

Subscriber Activated Call Blocking
Allows subscriber to block certain types of unauthorized outgoing calls from
unauthorized users. Callers can complete calls by using the assigned PIN or
you may assign your own PIN (two through
six digits). This feature can be used to control outgoing calls on public or
residential phones that include toll, operator, local directory assistance,
toll directory assistance, credit card, 700, 800, and 900 type calls.
Subscribers may choose any one, combination of, or all combinations when
ordering this service from the South Slope Business Office. To activate the
SACB feature, lift the handset, dial *94, enter your PIN, listen for
confirmation tone. Once the feature is activated and you attempt to dial an
unauthorized number, you will hear a recording prompting you for your PIN,
entering your Pin will allow the call as dialed. Deactivate SACB by dialing
*95, enter you PIN, listen for confirmation tone. Subscribers may change the
PIN by dialing *96 and following the recorded instructions.

Anonymous Caller
Rejection
Allows subscribers of caller ID to reject calls for which calling
name /number delivery information has been intentionally blocked. This feature is
activated by dialing *77 and deactivated by dialing *87.

Calling Number/Name Delivery Blocking Per Call
Customers who, for whatever reason, do not
wish to identify their phone numbers can prevent calling number delivery on a per-call
basis by dialing *67 before making the call.

Customer Originated Trace
Allows subscribers who have been receiving
harassing calls to activate an immediate trace of the last incoming call without requiring
prior approval or manual intervention by the telephone operating company personnel. The
customer activates this by dialing *57.
Cost: $4.00 per activation with a monthly
maximum charge of $16.00.
