Expand Coverage Area
Over the past year South Slope has added towers through-out its
exchanges to provide clear digital wireless service to its members. South
Slope Wireless being part of the ownership family of Iowa Wireless now
offers coverage to a majority of east central Iowa and parts of Illinois
as local calling area when using our wireless service. In addition,
VoiceStream Networks (a partner in the Iowa Wireless venture) has expanded
its coverage area to allow roaming in over 5000 cities across the country.
Our Digital PCS is GSM technology and will be able to be used through-out
the world once the system is all built out.

SERVICE WITH SOUTH SLOPE COOPERATIVE TELEPHONE COMPANY
DES MOINES, Iowa – October 21, 1999 – Iowa Wireless Services
announces a partnership with South Slope Cooperative Telephone Company dba
South Slope Wireless, with offices in Norway, and North Liberty, Iowa to
provide GSM PCS service to wireless customers in that area. On August 21,
1999, Iowa Wireless and South Slope Wireless officially began providing
expanded coverage in and around the communities of North Liberty, Walford,
Fairfax, Newhall, Norway, Watkins, Shueyville, Ely, Oxford, Tiffin, and
coming in early November, Solon. Expanding Iowa Wireless’ local service
area gives customers greater coverage, access, and clarity when making
telephone calls to these locations.

Company will make yet another move to stay focused on the future. South
Slope Cooperative Communications Company will be the same company only a
name that will project the image that we are much more than just local
dial tone service to our members. South Slope Cooperative Communications
will help inform members and non-members that South Slope provides
communications solutions in many areas.
South Slope Long Distance
South Slope Cooperative Communications Company with their main office in
Norway, Iowa has announced that it will be offering long distance service
starting May 1, 1999 to its members. South Slope Long Distance will offer
two plans available for both residential and business customers. The
"Flat Rate" plan gives customers a flat $0.14 per minute rate
for long distance calls in the United States. The "10 Cent" plan
has a monthly charge of $3.95 and $0.10 per minute for long distance calls
in the United States. Both plans are 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
South Slope CEO, J.R. Brumley, stated that
by offering these plans to South Slope members, it will give business and
residential customers the advantage of competitive rates that were not
previously available, and offers the convenience of one company providing
the installation, repair, local and long distance service and billing.
West Branch -
West Liberty Optional Calling Plan
May 7, 1999
South Slope Communications has added in what we hope to be the first
of many optional calling plans. In Cooperation with INS and Liberty
Communications, South Slope members may now request an optional calling
plan that will give them toll free calling to West Branch (643) and West
Liberty (627) for $2.00 per month.

Customers to
have choice for their local telephone service
in Oxford, Solon and Tiffin!!
South Slope Cooperative Telephone
Company will be offering customers in Oxford, Solon and
Tiffin the choice to switch their current local telephone service to South
Slope in 1999. South Slope expects to
be offering service in these exchanges by mid
to end of 1999. Customers will choose (or keep) their long distance
carrier and have all the services
available to them that current South Slope members have.
Those choosing to have South Slope provide
their local telephone service will become members
of the South Slope Cooperative Telephone Company and be paid patronage
dividends on the services that they use.
New members will have the opportunity to
keep the last four digits of their current telephone number, and only
change the prefix numbers. Oxford; now 628-xxxx will change to 828-xxxx.
Solon; now 644-xxxx will change to 624-xxxx.
Tiffin; now 645-xxxx will change to 545-xxxx.
For those who choose South Slope service,
an expanded calling area over their present standard calling area will be
part of their basic residential or business service. Cedar Rapids and Iowa
City will be local phone calls as well as Ely, Fairfax, Newhall, North
Liberty, Norway, Shueyville, Walford and Watkins.
