South Slope Provides Grants to Three Local Organizations

August 30, 2022

South Slope and Aureon are pleased to announce that matching charity grants have been awarded to the Veterans Memorial in Coralville, Running the Race Horse Ranch, and Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa. The Aureon Charity Grant Committee delegates funds to projects committed to the betterment of local communities.

Grant funds for the Veterans Memorial Coralville will be put towards the purchase of six granite monuments that will line the back of the memorial. The memorial will provide a permanent site for family members and the community to visit, reflect, and ensure that the sacrifice of military veterans is not forgotten.

Running the Race Horse Ranch will use their grant money to purchase a new pasture fence for their horses. Located in Fairfax, Iowa, Running the Race Horse Ranch is a place where kids work with rescued horses to foster new life and hope for both the kids and horses.

Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa will use grant funds to purchase program kits used within the College Community School District in Cedar Rapids. The kits include lesson plans, student materials, and activities. The Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa is a nonprofit organization that partners with school districts to teach kindergarten through 12th grade students. These program kits will help teach children about how money works, how education leads to career success, and how to start and run a business.
