A Guide to Your New Bill

South Slope has changed billing systems as part of our continued effort to provide you the best customer service.

Important Information

Account Number: After your April bill, you will get a new South Slope account number. If you pay directly through your bank, you will need to update this. You can find your new account number on your May bill.

Account Management/Bill Pay: On April 9th we moved from SmartHub to eBill for online account management and bill payment. If you have a South Slope SmartHub account, you received an email on April 9th with a link to complete setup of your eBill account. **If you do automatic payment through SmartHub, it will continue to be paid automatically through eBill.** 

Bill Format: Your new bill is effective with your May bill. For answers to common questions, read the FAQ below. If you receive paper bills, you will also receive a printed guide in your May bill.

Why is my bill changing?

We are updating our billing system in order to provide you a better experience. Stay tuned for new features as we roll them out!

When will I see my new account number?

Your new account number will be on the your May 2021 bill. If you are a current SmartHub user, you were sent an email on April 9th with a link to complete registration of your eBill account where you will also be able to view your new account number. If you aren’t a SmartHub user, you can register for an eBill account at southslope.com/ebill.

Why is my account number changing?

Because we are changing billing systems, our new provider requires new customer account numbers. 

What will the new bill look like?

Will my bill's due date change?

No, your payment will continue to be due upon receipt and past due after the 20th of each month. If you have automatic payment through SmartHub, it will transfer to eBill and continue to pay automatically on the 10th of each month.

Will the remittance address change for my payments?

If you receive a printed bill, please use the postage-paid envelope provided. If you do not use the envelope provided with your bill, you can drop off or mail your payment to: 980 North Front Street, North Liberty, IA 52317. More bill payment options.

Will I need to make any changes for my automatic payments?

If you use South Slope SmartHub for automatic payments from your bank account or credit card, then your payments will continue automatically through eBill. You were sent an email on April 9th with a link to complete registration of your eBill account so that you can then view and make changes to your South Slope account.

**If you make automatic payments directly through your bank, not SmartHub, you will need to update your South Slope account number with your bank’s bill pay system in order for payment to continue.**

What if I have questions about my bill?

How can I view past South Slope bills?

You will be able to view past bills in eBill but they will look different than what you are used to seeing in SmartHub.

How can I see my new bill?

You can view your bill from anywhere, on any device, anytime you want. Sign in to eBill from the email you received on April 9th or by registering your account at southslope.com/ebill. If you are enrolled in paperless billing, you will receive an email to view your monthly bill. If you are not enrolled in paperless billing, your bill will be mailed each month.
