February Business Spotlight: Safe Haven of Iowa County
February 1, 2026

February is the month of love, and at South Slope, we’re shining our spotlight on a partner that gives it unconditionally: Safe Haven of Iowa County. For years, Safe Haven has worked tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in our community, offering compassion, care and second chances to pets in need.
A MISSION ROOTED IN COMPASSION
Safe Haven of Iowa County is dedicated to ensuring every animal has the opportunity to live a healthy, happy life. Their team and volunteers pour their hearts into every step of each animal’s journey, including emergency rescues, adoption placements and ongoing care.
Each February, the shelter places special focus on Responsible Pet Owners Month and Spay/Neuter Awareness Month – two initiatives that align closely with their long-term mission of reducing overpopulation and promoting lifelong wellness for pets. These efforts help protect animals today while creating a better future for those still waiting for help.
STAYING CONNECTED WITH SOUTH SLOPE
Behind every rescue, adoption and community outreach effort is the need for fast, reliable communication. Safe Haven relies on South Slope’s internet and phone services to stay connected with the people who support their mission.
The team at Safe Haven shares:
“Safe Haven of Iowa County has utilized South Slope services for many years. In order to stay in touch with our community, great internet and phone services are a must-have for our organization. From fielding phone calls about emergency needs and adoption inquiries to community outreach through emails and social media, South Slope’s services have made communication possible for us. Effective and efficient communication is an important key to our goals of helping animals in need, and South Slope continues to help us reach these goals every day.”
We’re proud to support an organization that depends on connection to save lives.
