South Slope Cooperative Communications has deployed a Cisco 200 Gigabit transport network to upgrade their current network and meet the growing capacity demands in their service area. South Slope utilizes its network to deliver voice, data, and video services along with a variety of business services to customers throughout eastern Iowa.

South Slope Director of Operations, Brian Hamacher, stated, “This innovation is the first of its kind in Iowa and will allow us to offer the most advanced communication solutions available, combined with unmatched reliability.”

“By making the shift to this 200 Gigabit transport network, we are now able to increase transport bandwidth without additions to our optical network,” said Hamacher. “With the help of Cisco we are able to keep our commitment to continue to deliver cutting-edge communications services and the fastest internet speeds possible to our customers.”
