Tuesday Tip: Sun Outages

For today’s #tuesdaytip, Mitch is here to talk about sun outages!

These brief outages occur when the sun passes directly behind satellites, similar to a solar eclipse. When the sun is aligned with a satellite, solar radiation, interferes with the satellite’s signal. This causes a brief signal outage. All cable and satellite TV services are subject to this kind of interference. Luckily, sun outages only occur for a few weeks in the spring and fall, and last for a short amount of time. #southslopetips
