Email Migration FAQ

South Slope is excited to bring a host of new functionality to our customers as we migrate to an updated email platform. This new platform offers enhanced spam protection, larger mailbox capacity and mobile-friendly layout. South Slope customers with a southslope.net email account will be automatically moved to the new platform on April 2nd, 2024. NOTE: The original customer notification was for a March 1st migration but that has been changed to April 2nd.

Why did you update my email?

Moving to a new email platform allows South Slope to provide a better email experience, including enhanced spam protection, mobile-friendly layout, larger mailbox capacity and other improved features.

What do I need to do?

Open your southslope.net email on your phone, tablet/iPad or computer between April 3rd and May 31st to keep your account active. You will then need to open it at least once every six months to keep your account active. If you have your southslope.net emails automatically forwarded to another email account, this six-month timeframe doesn’t apply.

Will my login change?

No. You will be able to log in using the same username and password.

Will my email address change?

No.

Will there be email storage limitations?

All of your email messages will automatically be migrated to the new server. Your new inbox size will increase to 5Gb. If you need a larger size mailbox, please contact us for pricing.

What should I do if I have an issue with my email after the migration?

Contact our IT Support department by calling 319-626-2211 and selecting option 1.
