South Slope Cooperative Communications has launched new high-speed Rocket Internet plans for residential and business customers featuring speeds up to 1 Gigabit which is the equivalent of 1,000 Mbps. Residential and business offerings feature unlimited internet usage, unlike many broadband providers.
The North Liberty-based company has four new residential plans including download speed options of 10 Mbps, 60 Mbps, 110 Mbps, and 1 Gigabit. New residential plans include a larger upload speed pairing. South Slope is also offering new no-contract options with an installation fee or a 12-month contract option with no installation fee.
On the business side, South Slope formalized their Gigabit offering and launched two new sets of plans. Standard Business Rocket Internet plans now feature higher upload speeds. Additionally, the company now offers Symmetric Business Rocket Internet plans which feature speeds up to 225 Mbps down by 225 Mbps up.
“This is an exciting development for our company but more importantly, it is exciting for our members, our prospects, and our community,” said Chuck Deisbeck, South Slope CEO. “Gigabit speeds will allow businesses and residents even faster results when running multiple bandwidth-demanding online applications simultaneously.”
On June 12, 2017, South Slope released Managed Wi-Fi service for residential and small business customers. The Managed Wi-Fi service includes a high-tech router that is specifically designed to manage these higher internet speeds. The service includes 24/7 remote internet assistance. Managed Wi-Fi is professionally installed by South Slope’s local technicians to ensure connectivity throughout an entire home or business.
“South Slope’s Rocket Internet speeds and reliability are unmatched thanks to our dedicated fiber optic connections,” said Deisbeck. “Our network and our new Rocket Internet plans will prepare our community for the future as the demand for internet bandwidth continues to soar.”
